PC meltdown........ again

Once again our pc went into a meltdown, both my vista and windows 7 install failed to boot and i was stuck without internet access for close to 3 days.
To make matters worse it was the only pc in the household as my wife traveled to china for business and took the laptop with her, i do believe she emailed a few people telling them of the problem.

Now the pc is fixed and healthy again (its a cooler master cosmos case which weighs 30kgs, i had to carry this to a repair shop in Taipei in the 40c heat!) turns out my 3 year old was inserting money into the air vents and caused a meltdown of electrical shorting which corrupted my hard drives (all 3!).
You couldn't make this stuff up!.

Problem is our email account is built into the website and its not just a straight forwards log in, i had the link saved on my pc before and just accessed from that, but now that link is lost and i have no way of getting into my email account until my wife returns from china tomorrow night.
If she goes online in the mean time i should be able to get the link from her.
Those of you who are trying to contact me can do via facebook.

People who made orders last month can relax as everything was shipped between late last week and this week.

Monster GY6 engines

Though is has been a quiet summer, we still managed to keep ourselves busy with another project.
What you are looking at is 2 brand new monster GY6 engines.

You are probably wondering whats so special about them?.

Well unlike all the chinese GY6 clones, these GY6s have a special case which allows us to use a much larger 67mm bore, the normal GY6 can only manage 63mm.
On top of that we use a monster 8mm stroker crank to make a rather insane 231cc!

Theres a little more to these engines besides a large displacement, they also have a hand ported big valve head (still 2 valve by the way) custom intake manifold with genuine Keihin PWK carbs.

Both of these engines look the same but they are for different uses, one of them is for road use and the other is for the drag strip.

Power output..... well its unknown as we are the only people to do this setup, but i would guess about 20bhp with a mega flat torque curve.

Enjoy the pics.

Ruckus shocks!

Slow to update as we have been busy with other projects!.

Anyway, remember the post about my visit to RPM?.
Well take a look at this:

This shock is truly special and likely to take the ruckus/zoomer scene by storm!.
This is RPM's very best shock downscaled for the ruckus.

No more poorly made cheap chinese shocks, this is the first true 230mm performance shock, allow me to go over its features.

Cartridge bearing top mount to ensure smooth running
Hand polished internals
11-way rebound adjustment (real adjustment!)
10mm offset
CNC machined rebound adjustment (not rubber)
Linear spring
High quality seals
Hand made in Taiwan
Desgined for heavier riders (200lbs)
2 year warranty

This one is our first sample, testing will be done next week.

New pistons!

The wheels may be moving slowly over at Samurai these past few weeks but that hasnt stopped us from making a dramatic change to one of our most treasured products!.

Our pistons, famed for being the best on the scooter market have been given an upgrade at no additional cost!.

We now have them W.P.C treated (as standard!), this is a special process that coats the piston in a coating which reflects heat, increases strength and also acts just like teflon.
We also coated the inside of the cylinders too.

All big bore kits ordered after the middle of may were given this upgrade and all future orders will too.

As it stands we are the only piston supplier on the market that offers this service as standard!.

Trojan!

We managed to get seriously infected with a trojan horse on our lovely new pc setup!.
Its all my stupid fault for downloading a certain 'free' game from a certain 'pir@teb@y' without checking the uploader.

I have tried everything under the sun to remove it and so far nothing is working, windows explorer sometimes crashes and i dont dare log into anything important for obvious reasons!.

Luckily it infected our old vista hardrive and not the new windows 7 one (i have a dual boot, multi hardrive setup... hey i do live in Taiwan!) its just annoying as i didnt finish backing everything up to add to windows 7.

RPM factory visit

We visited the RPM factory in Taipei today, since moving to Taipei it has enabled us to contact more factory's and get more business done.
Its quite nice as its only 20 mins car drive to almost everyone which means we can get things done quickly and easily.

So why were we there?.

Ruckus shocks...... real, proper 230mm shocks that have adjustable damping and don't have a rock hard ride.
We have been trying to get 230mm shocks made for a long time, we actually made a few at one point but had issues with ride quality, the only way we could get this done is if we built a specific shock for this purpose and that's what we spent 6 hours discussing today.... how to get you ruckus boys lower to the ground more comfortably!.

Anyway here's a few pics of the place and also a sneak peak at the latest STAGE6 forks... they ain't even out yet ;-)

Oh Zuma guys,

Check out the yellow Zuma and let me know if the exhaust and flywheel cover interest you!.

EMS

There was a terrific screw up this past week with EMS, i would like to explain what happened.

Since moving to Taipei we had to sign a new contract with a seperate EMS branch local to us, unlike the old branch they are not open 7 days a week and close at 5pm whereas our old once closed at midnight.
We also cant send the packages at the branch they do pickups only, which is actually very usefull for us since alot of those packages are very big.

Since we dont go into the branch we have to weigh and measure our packages ourselves and pay for them when they arrive, its a bit backwards but this is the way they want it.

We had a few issues with them 2 weeks ago where they claimed our scales were under weighing and they held some packages until it was straightened out.
The end result was that they gave us their personal scales to weigh with, that way there would be no discrepancy between our scales.

So for the first time we used their scales and shipped 6 packages on thursday last week.......

Well they claimed we under weighed them again but this time they didnt call or notify us, it wasnt until a few customers emailed me saying their tracking info wasnt working that we discovered this!.

Anyway it was all cleared up 2 days ago and it shouldnt happen again, we know have the driver weigh them in front of us BEFORE taking them to the depot.

Apologies for those that were left waiting, it wont happen again.
